How to Fix Broken Shortcuts

Step 2. Scan Shortcuts

Click "Scan Shortcuts" and in the popped up window, choose the drive or folder you want to scan.

Step 3. Select Broken Shortcuts & Remove Them

When the scan is complete, you will see the shortcut files listed with details like name, target, location, etc. All the broken shortcut are marked with a red cross. To select all the broken shortcuts, click "Select invalid". To quickly find the shortcut you want, enter the shortcut name or part of it in the filter box. To list all shortcuts, in the dropdown menu of "Show", choose "All". Click "Properties" or double click the shortcut, you can see the properties of the item. Now, click "Delete" to remove the broken shortcuts permanently.
